Christianity Explored

 

Christianity Explored is a national programme that is ran in churches across the UK. The programme helps answer some of the big questions that many people, including Christians, sometimes struggle with. The programme is interactive, encouraging discussions and thought-provoking.

Pastoral Care

 

Both the church minister, Rev. Paul Robinson, and the members of the church pastoral team will visit members of the church or local community who are going through a difficult time or just fancy a chat and some company. If you would like a visit from them, or like to know more, please contact us.

CYTUN

 

Rhyl Cytn, Churhes together across Wales, is a group of churches from across Rhyl that work together to hold events, services and activities across the year. These are open to anyone and people can be sure of a warm welcome.

Saturday Praise

 

Meeting one Saturday evening a month, often at Christchurch Water Street, Saturday Praise is a chance of churches from across Rhyl as well as anyone else who would like to come to pray and give thanks for Rhyl. The evenings often involve music, guest speakers, prayer and the chance to chat to old friends and make new ones.

The United Church in Rhyl, in addition to our youth and children's work, hold a number of regular meetings to provide opportunities for mission and fellowship.  You might also like to check out the what's on page, that will give more details of one-off events and these regular meetings.

Home Groups

Currently four home groups meet throughout the week.  These groups provide some great fellowship and prayer support for members, as well as giving the opportunity to unpack the teaching from Sunday's service with others.

Ladies Circle

Meeting on a Wedneday afternoon at Twynedd Road Church, Ladies' Circle is a chance for women to get together and hear a variety of stories from the weekly guest speakers. There is also the opportunity to catch up with old friends and make new ones over a cup of coffee.

Prayer Chain

Meeting once a month to pray together for members of the church and community who are going through difficult times and for global issues. In between any local issues that need to be prayed for are passed on through the group via telephone calls.

Frugal Meal

Every Tuesday at Christchurch for a small charge, soup and rolls available. There is a friendly atmosphere with the volunteers always up for a chat, all are welcome.

Drinks and snacks served from 10am

Church Rambling Group

North Wales boasts beautiful scenery and amazing walks. Once a month, anyone is invited to join us for an organised walk, ranging between 3 and 5 miles. There is always chance for a chat along route and often a stop for a coffee or picnic as well.

Open Doors Group

Open Doors is a national charity that focuses on praying for and supporting persecuted Christians in over 50 countries across the world.   Once a month a group from the United Church in Rhyl to discuss and pray for current issues and matters as well as the on going work of Open Doors.
