A United Reformed Church and Presbyterian Church of Wales
meeting at the heart of the community of Rhyl at
Christ Church, Water Street and Tynewydd Road
Minister: Rev. Paul Robinson 01745 337750
Secretary: Anthea Davies
If you've not been to worship with us before, you might like to know the following before you arrive:
There'll be somebody at the front door to welcome you - they're there to help you, not scare you: ask them about anything you would like to know, from what is going to happen, to where the loo is.
They'll give you what you need for the service, including our weekly noticesheet - you can take this home with you!
All services are incorporated into the loop system for those who use hearing aids.
The hymns and songs we sing are usually taken from the hymnbooks Rejoice and Sing, Mission Praise or Hosanna! You'll either be given what you need, or find these books by you. In the morning all the words are also displayed on a big screen at the front.
During the service there will be an offering, which is a joyous time for members of the congregation to give to the work of the church and God’s Kingdom in this place. If you are visiting there is no pressure for you to give.
There are Bibles by where you are sitting - use them to follow the readings, and check that the preacher is doing their job!
Everyone who works with children and young people have been trained for their role and have CRB safe-guarding checks completed.
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY...
feel comfortable and relaxed - do what you like -
coming to worship is about you being you,
and letting God be God!
11 AM at Christ Church, Water Street
In the morning we meet together as one church family to worship. After about twenty minutes or so, we split into different groups, with the children and young people going to Sunday School. The service lasts about an hour and is followed by tea and coffee. Everyone is really welcome to join us. Once a month we are joined by the unifomed organisations for an all-age parade service.
6 PM at Tynewydd Road
In the evening the service we follow a different theme, and spend more time in worship and hearing from God's Word. This service also lasts about an hour and everyone is really welcome to join us.
